Team Management

Building Your Team

Your roster is yours to build inside your MyNBA — lineups, rotations, development, the players you sign and the ones you let walk. Play the team you were handed into the team you want.
• Field a real rotation. Set honest lineups and minutes; do not park a superstar at the end of the bench to game a matchup or manufacture a tank. Maximum overall coming of the bench: 86.
• Keep your rotation legal. Players can only play positions listed on their playing card. If you wish to change your players, you can post a position change request in #player-edits on discord. Players must have at least 25% on play-by-play position estimate in at least one of last five seasons for position change.
• Injuries and fatigue are part of the game. Manage them; do not exploit a workaround to erase them if your league runs them on.

Trade rules

A trade in this league is a real negotiation with a real approval, not a quiet swap in your save file. Every trade travels the same path:
1. Propose it. One GM sends the offer on the website to the other GM. The counterparty accepts. A trade is not a trade until the GM on the other side accepts it.
2. Both sides have to write their reasons for the trade. Why this trade? Let the trade committee understand your thought process to ensure a fair decision.
3. The trade committee approves. Once both sides agree, the office reviews it for fairness and rule compliance and approves it. Only then does the trade execute and the players actually move.
4. Both sides pay for the trade. Each GM pays for the players their team sends. You can see the prices in the trade machine menu. You pay less for trading role players, and more for trading higher rated stars.
A proposal that is not accepted, or not approved, changes nothing. This is what keeps the league's rosters honest and keeps a lopsided deal from quietly reshaping the season.

To keep things as close to realism as possible, there will be some limitations to trades.
• Franchise players can not be traded in season 1. You can find the franchise player list in #rules!
• Players rated 85 or higher can only be traded once in the same season. They can be moved again in the offseason.

Trade block and deadline

Want to move a player but do not have a partner yet? List him on the Trade Block.
• Listing a player tells the league he is available. Other GM’s will see the players listed on trade block both on the website and in discord.
• You can delist any time. A listing is an invitation, not a commitment — nothing moves until a full offer is proposed, accepted and approved.
• When a listed player is traded, his listing comes down automatically.

The Trade Block is the front door for deals. Use it instead of spamming the group chat with "who wants my center."

Your commissioner sets a trade deadline each season. Watch for the date.
• Up to and including deadline day, trading is open. Deadline day is a full trading day — a deal proposed, accepted and approved before the deadline passes is valid.
• After the deadline, the window is closed until the next season opens it. Do not leave your season-defining deal for the last hour; approvals take time, and a trade that is not fully approved when the window shuts does not happen.
• On trade deadline day, all trade fees will be at a 50% discount.
