XP & Discipline

What XP Is

XP is the dynasty's long-term scoreboard. Wins and losses reset every season. XP does not — it follows you, year after year, and it is the record of who actually carried the league.

XP is tied to you, not your team. It is keyed to your gamertag / PSN, so it survives a team change, a rebuild, even leaving and coming back. The system rewards one thing above all: showing up. Playing your games, logging your scores, holding your spot when the dynasty is five years deep and the novelty is gone.

How XP Is Earned

Every regular-season game you actually play earns XP at your season's rate.

  • Your commissioner sets how much XP a game is worth in this league (1, 100, 1000 — the scale is the league's choice). Every season after the first adds 10% to that rate: if a game pays 100 in Season 1, it pays 110 in Season 2, 120 in Season 3, and on up. Staying active in Season 8 is worth more than being active in a brand-new dynasty, and the rate says so. Your hub shows your XP as it accrues.
  • The championship carries the biggest single prize on the board — a title is worth more XP than any regular-season game. Series and title bonuses and the pacing fine are set by your commissioner too; the defaults are one game's worth for a series, four for the title.
  • Only games that get played earn XP. The regular season and the title are where XP moves; showing up is the whole engine.

Sims Earn Zero XP

A simmed game earns 0 XP for both teams. No XP from a sim against the CPU, no XP from a sim against another GM, and it does not matter who was at fault.

XP rewards participation, not arguments about participation. If XP were awarded on fault, the system would become about who can build the best case rather than who got on the sticks and played. If the game was not played, there is nothing to reward. A game genuinely played that got marked a sim by mistake can be corrected, and the XP returns — that is a data fix, not an appeal.

Fines & Discipline

XP is not only earned — it can be spent by inattention or by playing in bad faith.

  • Pacing fines land on games left owed past a deadline (see Scheduling & Pacing). Your commissioner sets the amount.
  • Conduct fines can follow a quit, an exploit, or a bad-faith filing, ruled under Playing in Good Faith.
  • Every fine is booked one game at a time, with the reason attached, and reversed if it turns out to be wrong.

Fines are corrections, not accusations, and nearly every one of them is avoided by doing the two cheapest things in the league: play on time and log your score. If a fine looks wrong, the league office is where you contest it — not the group chat.
