Joint tendencies
Among groups with at least two teams and sufficient coverage. These records describe the teams, not the effect of a playing style.
Regular-season tendencies from recorded box scores: shot choices, scoring sources and pace.

From left to right, where the points come from: from three or in the paint. From bottom to top, the pace.
Ring and dot: the team's family. Pick a family in the filters to see its teams. Dotted lines: league average.
From the most outside (top) to the most inside: the dot places the team between three-pointers and the paint, the dotted line is the league average. Poss. = possessions per game.
A dominant tendency reaches the top quarter of its eligible cohort. Exact ties form a mixed profile; secondary tendencies remain visible. The half court shows scoring sources, not shot attempts.

Combined regular-season records provide context. They do not show that a tendency causes wins: rosters, GMs and opponents also differ.
Each indicator uses its own complete regular-season sample, excluding simulations. A percentile needs 5 recorded games and two eligible teams for that indicator. Tendencies start at percentile 75; the comparison cohort can differ between indicators.
Three-point attempt rate is three-point attempts divided by all field-goal attempts. Three-point scoring share measures points produced, so it also reflects shooting success. The map uses scoring share; the shooting tendency uses attempt rate.
Other scoring shares overlap and do not add up to a total. Assists are measured per made field goal; pace is estimated possessions per game. Offensive rebounding uses the share of available rebounds recovered, not raw totals. Second-chance points remain a separate indicator.
The half court uses only games with every scoring zone recorded. Mid-range is the remainder after three-point points, paint points and free throws. Its sample can differ from individual indicators. Records include all regular-season games, including simulations; a meeting within one family counts on both sides.
28 teams are absent from the map because three-point scoring share, paint scoring share or pace cannot yet be ranked. Each needs 5 recorded games and an eligible comparison cohort.
