USBAUSBA - October , Volume 2: The Nuggets are Undefeated
Denver has started the USBA season undefeated—and Nikola Jokić looks determined to keep it that way.
The Denver Nuggets have quickly become the team everyone in the USBA is chasing.
While the season is still developing, Denver has yet to taste defeat, and the biggest reason is standing in the middle of everything they do: Nikola Jokić.
Jokić has established himself as the best player in the league, controlling games with his unique combination of size, passing, scoring and basketball IQ. When the Nuggets need a big possession, the offense runs through him. When opponents try to take something away, Jokić seems to find another answer.
And right now, nobody has found the formula to stop Denver.
“We can go undefeated. I’m not scared of anyone.”
That confidence isn’t just coming from Jokić. The entire Nuggets organization appears to believe this could be something special.
UNDEFEATED, BUT NOT SATISFIED
An undefeated record is impressive, but Denver isn’t acting like the job is finished.
The Nuggets are reportedly keeping an eye on the trade market and looking for ways to add more talent around their superstar. The goal isn’t necessarily to make a major splash—it’s about finding the right piece that can make an already dangerous team even harder to beat.
That could mean adding another scorer, a dependable ball-handler, defensive help or simply more depth for the long season ahead.
For Denver, the message is clear: good isn’t good enough.
WHO CAN STOP THEM?
That’s the question surrounding the USBA right now.
Every contender will get a chance to challenge Denver, and eventually the Nuggets will have to prove that their regular-season dominance can translate into playoff success.
But for now, the rest of the league has a problem.
The Nuggets are undefeated.
Jokić believes he’s the best player in the league.
And Denver is still looking for ways to get better.
If they find the right trade, the rest of the USBA might have an even bigger problem on its hands.
